Adenocarcinoma in a chicken

Adenocarcinomas are tumours arising from glandular tissue.  They are fairly common tumours in chickens, usually forming within the ovary and spreading through the body cavity. The nodular growths of tumour can be seen over the surface of the intestines, caeca and ventriculus (stomach).
